This Privacy Policy explains how Artist List Ventures LLC (“Artist List”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and shares your information. By using the Artist List mobile app or website, you agree to the terms outlined below.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THESE TERMS ARE A LEGAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND ARTIST LIST, AND YOUR USE OF OUR WEBSITE AND APP IS GOVERNED BY THESE TERMS. THESE TERMS CONTAIN PROVISIONS THAT WILL GOVERN HOW DISPUTES BETWEEN YOU AND US WILL BE RESOLVED, AND THEY INCLUDE A WAIVER OF A JURY TRIAL AND A WAIVER OF YOUR ABILITY TO BRING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST US. PLEASE READ THESE TERMS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE AGREEING TO BEFORE USING THE WEBSITE AND APP.
About Us
Artist List is a digital connection platform developed by Artist List Ventures LLC, based in California. We serve as a search and discovery tool, designed to connect clients with top-tier beauty and fashion professionals—hairstylists, makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, and more—based on location, availability, and major events.
Artist List is not a booking platform, talent agency, or service provider. We do not manage payments, contracts, or scheduling between users. Instead, we empower clients to discover and contact artists directly, and we enable artists to showcase their availability, expertise, and event-specific offerings across cities and markets.
By using Artist List, both clients and artists agree that all engagements, communications, and transactions occur outside of the app, using their preferred methods.
Definitions – Artist List
"Artist List" – refers to the mobile and web-based platform operated by Artist List Ventures LLC, a California-registered company.
"Platform" – means the Artist List mobile application and associated website where users can discover and connect with beauty and fashion professionals.
"Client" – means any individual using the Platform to search for, connect with, and communicate with artists for beauty, styling, or fashion-related services.
"Artist" – means any beauty or fashion professional (e.g., hairstylist, makeup artist, wardrobe stylist, and more) who creates a profile on the Platform to showcase services, availability, and locations.
"User" – means any individual or entity that accesses, browses, or interacts with the Platform, including both Clients and Artists.
"Connection Services" – means the features provided via the Platform that allow Clients and Artists to view profiles, send messages, and initiate off-platform engagements. Artist List is not a booking tool and does not facilitate payment or scheduling.
"Subscription" – refers to the optional paid tiers available to Artists and Clients for enhanced access to visibility, searchability, and additional Platform features.
"Events" – means major industry, cultural, or fashion-related happenings (e.g., Fashion Week, the Oscars, Super Bowl) that may be used as searchable tags or indicators of an Artist’s availability.
"Search by City or Event" – means the Platform’s functionality allowing Users to locate Artists based on their geographic availability or their participation in specific events.
"Dashboard" – means the internal administrative interface where Artist List Ventures LLC manages, stores, and monitors usage and platform data securely.
“CCPA and/or CPRA” – refers to the California Consumer Privacy Act (the "CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (the "CPRA").
Quick Overview

- Artist and client profiles are visible to each other based on preferences.
- All payments happen off-platform through your chosen method.

- No impersonation, harassment, or fraudulent bookings are tolerated.

Account Creation – Artist List
To access certain features of the Artist List Platform, including saving profiles, favoriting artists, and sending messages, Users must create an account (“User Account”). By registering, you represent and warrant that:
(a) All information submitted is truthful and accurate
(b) You will maintain the accuracy of that information
(c) You are creating the account for your own use and not on behalf of another person resorting in impersonations
(d) You will not create multiple accounts
To register, we require your full name and a valid email address. You may delete your User Account at any time by following the in-app instructions. All User Accounts are subject to these Terms, and any additional policies noted within the app or our website. Artist List Ventures LLC reserves the right to suspend or delete any account that violates our Terms.
Artist Vetting and Disclaimers
Artists listed on the Artist List platform are reviewed based on their portfolio, experience, and professional presence (e.g., client roster, social media, prior work). However, Artist List does not conduct background checks on Artists or Clients. All users interact with one another at their own discretion and risk. We encourage Clients to independently evaluate any Artist they choose to work with, including reviewing portfolios and having direct conversations before confirming services.
Subscription Terms & Auto-Renewal Policy
Artist List operates on a subscription-based model for both Clients and Artists. Access to certain premium features—such as expanded profile visibility, event tagging, and search prioritization—may require an active paid subscription.
By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable subscription fee (monthly or annually, as selected during checkout) and authorize Artist List Ventures LLC to automatically charge your chosen payment method at the beginning of each billing cycle.
Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. If you cancel, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will revert to a free tier (if applicable).
We do not offer refunds for unused time or partial months after a subscription has been charged. It is your responsibility to manage your subscription status prior to renewal.
By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree that:
Recurring charges will continue until you cancel.
Artist List is not responsible for missed cancellations or charges due to outdated payment methods.
No retroactive refunds will be provided once a charge is processed.

Limitation on Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Artist List Ventures LLC and its platform Artist List are not liable for any confirmed or unconfirmed bookings, missed appointments, service dissatisfaction, loss of revenue, reputational harm, or other damages arising from interactions facilitated through the platform.
Artist List is a third-party discovery and connection tool. It does not employ, manage, or supervise any of the independent professionals ("Artists") listed. All engagements, communications, bookings, and transactions are arranged independently between the Client and the Artist. Artist List Ventures LLC plays no role in the negotiation, execution, or outcome of these interactions, and makes no guarantees regarding availability, quality, timing, or professionalism of services rendered.
Clients use the platform at their own discretion and assume full responsibility for assessing an Artist’s work, experience, and suitability. While Artist List may showcase portfolios and encourage credibility through public profiles and referrals, we do not perform criminal background checks or vet users beyond their shared work and credentials.
Artist List Ventures LLC is not responsible for any claims arising from:
Dissatisfaction with services,
Alleged impersonation or misrepresentation,
Physical injury, allergic reaction, or bodily harm resulting from beauty services,
Inappropriate conduct or communications between users,
Missed events or time-sensitive service failures.
We strongly encourage all users to practice due diligence, clearly communicate expectations, and exercise sound judgment when coordinating services through the platform.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability (and that of the Artists using the platform) is limited to the greater of (a) fifty U.S. dollars ($50) or (b) the amount you’ve paid Artist List Ventures LLC in the prior twelve (12) months, if any. The existence of more than one claim does not increase this limit.
These disclaimers do not affect any rights you may have under applicable law that cannot be legally waived, including consumer protection laws in your state or country.
Copyright & Content Ownership
Artist List Ventures LLC retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Artist List platform, including but not limited to the logo, branding elements, app design, user interface, proprietary features, and any original content or media created by the company. These materials are protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
Artist List Ventures LLC does not claim ownership over any content uploaded, submitted, or displayed by users (including artists and clients) on the platform. This includes—but is not limited to—portfolio images, videos, bios, service descriptions, and materials associated with their work or the events they participate in. Artists are solely responsible for ensuring they have appropriate rights, licenses, or permissions to share such content. Artist List is not liable for copyright infringement arising from user-submitted materials.
Content in the Events section (such as references to Fashion Week, the Grammys, or other public events) is used purely for contextual discovery and search functionality. Artist List does not claim ownership of any referenced event names, logos, or imagery unless explicitly stated.
By submitting content to the platform, users grant Artist List a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote such content within the app and in marketing materials, strictly for the purpose of showcasing the user’s services on the platform.

Electronic Communications & In-App Messaging
By using the Artist List platform, you agree that communications between you and Artist List Ventures LLC may occur via electronic means, including but not limited to email, in-app notifications, or posted updates. You consent to receive communications in electronic form and agree that all terms, disclosures, agreements, and other notices provided to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement as if they were in writing. This includes compliance with the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (15 U.S.C. §7001 et seq., “E-Sign”).
In-App Messaging Disclaimer
Artist List includes a messaging feature that enables communication between Artists and Clients. While we provide this messaging functionality to facilitate connections, Artist List Ventures LLC is not responsible for the content, tone, accuracy, or consequences of any user-to-user communications conducted via the platform.
All users are expected to interact professionally and respectfully. We strictly prohibit:
Harassment or bullying of any kind
Impersonation of other individuals or public figures
Sending of inappropriate, obscene, or threatening messages
Attempts to mislead, scam, or defraud other users
Violations of this policy may result in temporary suspension, removal from the platform, or legal action where applicable. Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
Changes to Agreement
Artist List Ventures LLC reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or update this Agreement at any time. Changes will become effective immediately upon posting the updated version to the Artist List platform (via our app or website) and updating the “Last Revised” date at the top of this document.
In the case of material changes, we may also notify you via email (if you have provided one) or through a prominent notice within the app. It is your responsibility to keep your contact information current. If the email address you provided is no longer valid or unable to receive the notice, the dispatch of the communication will still constitute effective notice.
By continuing to access or use the Artist List platform after changes are posted, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If at any time you do not agree with any part of the updated Agreement, you must discontinue use of the Services.
We encourage you to review this Agreement periodically to stay informed of your rights and responsibilities.
